Hometown: Windsor, but Toronto will always be home
Where do you work?
I work as a freelance fashion photographer as well as a client advisor at Louis Vuitton. I am currently studying marketing at Ryerson…lets just say I love inducing stress on myself at all times!
What do you love about your job/workplace?
I don’t believe that I know everything about photography but I do love the creative direction aspect. It is my artistic way to convey stories, messages and my current feelings. Beyond photography, I spend a lot of time following the fashion scene hence my part time job at Louis Vuitton. I hope to merge my love for fashion and photography in my future career (whatever that may be lol).
Why did you pick Toronto as your new home?
Toronto has such a great energy. There are so many young and talented people who know how to hustle here. Windsor is extremely close-minded; I came here to stay motivated, acquire new opportunities and find inspiration.
How does Toronto influence what you do?
We are surrounded by skyscrapers, the best of high end stores and technology but sometimes are blinded by it. The city has made me take a step back and look at photography through a simple and natural lens. In my photos, I direct it around nature, soft colours and simplistic shapes. I bring in hints of the city life in my concepts and styling.
Favorite food spot in Toronto?
1. Golden Turtle on Ossington for pho (best in the city, fight me)
2. Lady Marmalade on Queen East for brunch
10 items in my fridge/pantry at all times:
3. Nongshim’s Gourmet Spicy Ramen
4. Eggs, eggs, eggs and more eggs
5. Cob’s high fibre white loaf
6. Camomile tea
7. Pusateri’s tomato sauce
8. Linguini pasta
